Waveland Mrs. Julia F. PATTON 81 year old resident of this community died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Ben Hur Home at Crawfordsville where she had been a patient about a month. She had been in failing health two years. Mrs. Patton lived in Montgomery County her entire life. She was born Feb 12, 1881 west of New Market, a daughter of William Tyre and Mary Davis Whittington. She married Harry Patton in 1903. Surviving are 3 sons: Rufus; Leroy; and Frank; a daughter, Mrs. Cecil Green; a sister, Mrs. Della Servies; 5 grandchildren; 11 greats and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, 3 brothers, a sister and grandson. The body was brought to the Machledt & Servies Funeral Home here where friends may pay their respects after 2 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home; interment in Freedom Cemetery north of here. - transcribed by kbz
